How It Works

1

Families are connected with us

Families are referred to Angel Tree through official channels and community agencies. A self-nomination application will open later this season.

2

Our community becomes the Angels

Anonymous tags go on the tree with wish-list items only, such as “Boy, age 8, Star Wars Legos.” Community members choose a tag and buy the gift.

3

Families pick up privately

Each family chooses its own pick-up window during the second week of December at SCSC headquarters, next to the Patch Thrift Shop, before or after business hours.

For Families

Need a little extra cheer?

If your family could use some extra holiday cheer this year, or you would like to refer a family, email our Angel Tree coordinator. We'll reply with next steps.

Applications are open. Submitting early increases the likelihood we'll have enough donations to complete your family's wish list.

Frequently Asked Questions

Good to know

How are families selected?

The Stuttgart Community Spouses' Club will try to meet the needs of every family. Reaching out early increases the likelihood that we will have enough donations to complete your wish list. If we cannot accommodate every family, we will consider information such as rank/grade, family size, and what it would mean to your family to be selected.

Who will know my family is participating?

SCSC will do its best to protect your privacy. Only one or two trusted board members will know your identity, to coordinate the pick-up of your gifts. Names will not be shared with any donors or published in any promotional materials. You will have your own dedicated pick-up window outside of business hours.

Who buys the presents for families?

The Stuttgart community chooses tags off the tree and purchases the gifts. Tags are anonymized and list only wish-list items, with no names. For example: Boy, age 8, Star Wars Legos.

How do families receive the presents?

You will choose your own pick-up window during the second week of December and meet the Angel Tree lead at SCSC headquarters, next to the Patch Thrift Shop, before or after business hours.

Is there a limit on how much to spend on each family member?

We recommend no more than $40 per wish-list item, so every child receives something comparable.

I have a question that isn't answered here.
